Favela Rhythms

Community Based Documentary Film
Favela Rhythms depicts the life of Brazil’s poor, specifically, its young people. Through the non-profit group, Pé no Chão (Feet in the Dirt), favela youth use video cameras to explore their walled city of violence, drugs, dreams, and aspirations while dissecting the negative stereotypes that surround them. ©2005
